Thursday March 7, 2013 –ย Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) strong man Evans Kidero has clinched the Nairobi gubernatorial seat, beating his rival Ferdinand Waititu with a small margin.
Final results from Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) showed Evans Kidero garnered 692,483 votes against TNAโs Ferdinand Waititu at 617,839
And speaking after being trounced by Kidero, Waititu honorably conceded defeat and said he has respected the wishes of the Nairobians.
In the same event, Gideon Mbuvi was declared the winner of Nairobi Senate seat.
Sonko garnered a massive 808,705 votes against 525,822 polled by his closest challenger ODMโs Margaret Wanjiru
Also for the Nairobi women representative seat, Rachael Shebesh has trounced her rival Esther Passaris with a big margin.
Shebeshย leads Nairobi women rep candidates with 416,198. Mingโala so far has 266,199; Passaris 238,145. Three constituencies to goโฆ.
