Our sister was going about her business as usual looking forward for the wedding of her only son Denis in a month’s time (December 15th). She started to experience severe back pain which became worse by the day.
In the past two months, she has undergone a series of tests, with the last being an MRI which showed that she has a Meningioma (a large tumour compressing her spinal cord). She was referred to a Neurosurgeon and is needing an emergency surgery to remove the Tumor which is threatening to paralyse her lower body.
Currently, our sister is loosing her lower body strength and is now unable to walk on her own.
Bernice is a hard working, single mother who has operated a small kiosk as a source of her livelihood and as many Kenyans, she has no medical insurance to cater for her hospital bills.She requires an immediate surgery to prevent further damage and paralysis.
