NAIROBI Governor Evans Kidero was not in the group of Cord governors who accompanied former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to the Emerging Markets Forum in Washington in US.
Kidero also missed a trip to Dallas in July, where Raila led 11 Cord governors who met and made presentations to potential investors. There were speculation then that Raila had snubbed Kidero, but the governor said he will go for this second trip.
Kidero yesterday said he did not get an invitation to go to Washington from the former PM’s office, but he hopes he will be considered for the next trip.
“We have 24 governors under Cord, during the first trip to Dallas, Raila went with 11 governors while today (yesterday) he was accompanied by six. Maybe I will be among the last batch of 7,” Kidero said on the phone.
