A Kenyan family will be featured on a new reality television show to debut on Lifetime channel today.
Upcoming actor and model Kelly Wairimu Davis and her family will be on the show Relative Insanity which will air on the channel at today Friday 4/25/2014 at 9pm CST/10pm EST.
The show pits family against family, in a 36-hour power struggle for the chance to win up to $25,
000.
The show is produced by Fly on the Wall Entertainment, the production company behind CBS’s hit summer staple Big Brother.
Kelly’s mum Cecilia Wambugu-Davis and her siblings will all feature in the show. Mrs Wambugu-Davis is from Molo.
Kelly has had a couple of appearances on US television albeit short. She has appeared on the “Real Husb
ands of Hollywood” a comedy reality television series which airs on Black Entertainment Television (BET). In this episode, she met comedian Kevin Hart, rapper Nelly and Nic Cannon who wears multiple hats in Hollywood. She played the role of Kevin’s dietician.
In December last year, she modeled on the Queen Latifah Show for style expert Lilliana Vasquez.
Kelly attended the New York Film Academy-Los Angeles Campus after receiving a scholarship after participating in an acting competition in Florida. She almost got a big break after US actor Tyler
Perry’s agents who were scouting the participants took an interest in her after the competition. However she did not have any acting credentials at the time. The incident motivated her to pursue acting at the Academy.
Kelly will also be featuring in a new reality series by BET dubbed “Got Game” where a couple of men will be competing to win a date with her. No debut date has been announced yet.
