As much as many say that Sonkoโs deeds are motivated by the camera, Iโm of the opinion that it doesnโt matter, as long as they impact the lives of others positively.
Last week, the controversial senator hosted Baby Osinya and his dad at his home, and promised to take care of him as his own son.
He revealed this on his Facebook page with the following post.
“There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, โMorning, boys. How is the water.โ And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, โWhat the hell is water?โ
This applies to us too. As we swim along this sea of life, most of us are just existing. Like the small fish, we don’t even pay attention, or we do not know what is happening around us. We cannot define our lives, neither can we define our environment. We just go by the tide. We are literally existing.
A challenge for us today is to be vigilant. Be informed. Define our lives and what we live for, so that we will not be swayed by each passing wind. ย Pay attention to the unfolding events around us, be solution providers and pace setters. ย It is not enough to exist, but to live, you must live for something. And it is that which gives meaning to life. Otherwise, life will be meaningless.
It is my prayer that we will ย find meaning in life. That we will live it to the fullest by maximizing our potential, that unlike the fish we will be able to account for our lives. That we will not only exist in the world, but live and leave a footprint, by making it a better place for all mankind.
If you want to ask me how life is, I’ll say it is not easy. Yetย still if you do not ask me, I’ll say God reigns, and He alone, gives meaning to our lives, whether we acknowledge it or not. So, live for Him, and nothing else will matter.
Remember, it is not enough to exist. We can always do better.
