Bishop Margaret Wanjiru yesterday graduated from St Paulโs University, Limuru with a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Management.
On Wednesday, she declared her interest in contesting for the Nairobi Governorโs seat and this time she can be sure the small matter of education qualification will not come up.
โMy interest in leadership is within Nairobi, and I will go for the top seat to become governor since I believe the people of Nairobi will like me to go for a bigger role. They demonstrated faith in me by electing my son as MP for Kamukunji and I also served in Starehe,โ said Bishop Wanjiru.
She also announced that she is no longer in ODM after they โembarrassedโ her in the last general elections.
โI want to tell Kenyans I am partyless and I left ODM last year. ODM tainted my name during the last general elections by not recognising my qualifications having studied theology and pastoral courses.โ
Speaking of her degree course, Bishop Margaret said,ย โThe course in leadership has enhanced my skills as a leader and expanded my way of thinking in different issues, and I want to tell the leaders and people of Nairobi I am still politically motivated and will vie for the governorโs seat.โ
