Four Cord coalition leaders labeled Jubilee moles and sympathizers may be deliberating their next move.
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba, Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro and embattled ODM Executive Director Magerer Langat met at a Mombasa hotel, in a picture posted by Mutua on Facebook.
The leaders’ association with the Cord coalition has been questionable amid speculations that they are warming up to Jubilee or planning an alternative party.
Mutua has been seen as a Jubilee sympathiser who works closer with the party than with Cord and the Wiper party.
Namwamba has in the past been accused of being the Jubilee mole in the cord coalition and Mung’aro was in July ousted as the National Assembly minority whip.
Magerer was last week kicked out of a meeting at Orange House by MCAs over differences in the use of political party funds and a push by youthful MPs for a stake in the ODM leadership.
