Kenyans on Twitter immediately started a hashtag to pressurize Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale to produce the list that he spoke about after the Garissa attack that left 148 people dead.

Duale made the sensational promise last month after the devastating terrorist attack at the Garissa University College, promising to name Kenyan sympathizers and financiers of the Somalia-based terrorist outfit within 30 days.

Duale is a close confidant of President Uhuru Kenyattaโ€™s deputy, William Ruto.

#PLEASE REMIND DUALE

Early on Tuesday morning, Kenyans had started hashtag #PleaseRemindDuale calling upon the leader of the majority in the National Assembly to furnish security chiefs with the list of terror partners.

Kakamega senator @BoniMtetezi tweeted, โ€œ#PleaseRemindDuale we must all fight terror as a nation.โ€

@SimaniSays tweeted, โ€œ#PleaseRemindDuale That This Country Is More Important than an Individual. We Still Need That Terrorist List He Mentioned.โ€

Mr Duale led leaders from the region to a Nairobi hotel four days after the Garissa University attack where they addressed the media and said they would compile and submit details of suspects and sympathizers of the terror group within a week.

@SimelAmos tweeted, โ€œ#PleaseRemindDuale the month (sic) he asked for is long overdue we need the list now.โ€

@MariaMakau tweeted, โ€œWhen there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you. #PleaseRemindDuale #Yumbis.โ€

On Saturday, speaking in Garissa town while issuing Uwezo Fund cheques, Duale said that they do not report to Nkaissery and that the production of the list was voluntary. He said area leaders had given โ€œseriousโ€ recommendations to president Kenyatta.

The attack on police officers comes a week after Al Shabaab militants invaded Yumbis Village and preached to locals for hours.
