Johnstone Muthama, the senator of Machakos county has said that president Uhuru Kenyatta should always consult Kalonzo Musyoka, the co-principal, Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) before visiting the region.Â
It is reported that Uhuru may use Dr. Alfred Mutua, the governor of Machakos county as his ‘point guard’ to woo people from the region to vote in favour of him.
However, Mutua dismissed reports saying that he is not interested to beUkambani’s kingpin, but wants to ensure the region grows economically.
The race to state house 2017 has already attracted three presidential aspirants. Uhuru, Raila and Musalia Mudavadi have expressed interest to contest for the top post in the country.
