A public toilet in Kiambu county is all the rage after it was reported that it cost the county a whooping Ksh 3.2 Million to put up.
The county reportedly splashed the money on the toilet block it constructed at Waruhiu Agricultural Development Centre in Githunguri.
The unostentatious toilet has two sections for men, three for ladies as well as a urinal and sinks and was constructed in the 2014/15 financial year, the Daily Nation reports.
According to a report by county officer Joseph Mumu, the toilet was to cost KSh 2.8 million initially but the costs went up by over KSh 463,000 by the time of its completion.
This adds to the list of outrageous expenditures that have been reported this year across various counties in the country.
