Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo, who has been on record as an unapologetic critic of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday Dec 20, 2016 hurled insults at the president for reasons that cannot be objectively established.
The vocal Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MP went guns blazing at the first time president in the hour leading to a special parliamentary sitting over proposed laws related to the country’s electoral body, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The movement (ODM) is against amendments to the IEBC law to have an alternative voter identification and results transmission system in the forthcoming 2017 election incase the current ‘digital’ system fails in certain areas.
After the dramatic scene at Parliament buildings ODM MPs further tried to block the Speaker of the house, Justin Muturi from accessing the chambers.
The sitting degenerated into a shouting match, grossly exceeding the stipulated time with no consensus reached by 8PM (at the time of publication).
The Speaker was forced to repeatedly educate MPs on the standing orders as prime time TV in the country was hijacked by self-serving puppets.
