The fake news problem plaguing our fake news country has this time targeted former Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba. According to some reports doing rounds on the internet, Ababu has threatened the Jubilee leadership.
A fake Citizen TV News Facebook page reports that Ababu has demanded that he be appointed a Cabinet Secretary failure to which he will “spill the beans on the repeat presidential poll.”
“I will spill the beans on the 26th October repeat ‘election’ if not appointed CS within one week. I lost my Budalangi seat because of my association with Uhuru Kenyatta,” the report ‘quotes’ Ababu as saying.
The report has sparked a strong reaction from the former ODM Party Secretary-General, who has taken to his official Twitter handle to dismiss the rumors.
He posted: “I must rank very highly in the minds of these cyber pests. They will fake anything in my name. They even fake a Citizen tv logo imagining that smart people dont crosscheck! I proudly support President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto unconditionally and unapologetically. Mtado?”
