There was drama at the St. Benedict’s Catholic Church along the Thika Superhighway after an enraged woman stormed her ex-husband’s wedding in a bid to stop the ceremony.
The woman, who was identified as Catherine Mwaura, claimed that she is still married to the groom. She also claimed that she has three children with the groom that the bride was stealing her husband.
Mrs Mwaura stormed the venue accompanied by two of her kids and momentarily disrupted the proceedings.
Her efforts were however, thwarted by police officers, who had been hired by the groom. It is believed the groom hired more than 20 officers because he thought his ex-wife might try to stop the nuptials.
In the end, the scorned woman was left more infuriated as the newly weds sped off to their honeymoon.
