In January 2026, CLE held a stakeholder engagement meeting with The Kenya School of Law to discuss matters relating to the administration of the ATP examinations. The Council also conducted a candidate engagement webinar in April 2026, providing candidates with important guidance on examination procedures, regulations, and expectations.

These engagements reflect the Council’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in the administration of professional legal examinations.

The April 2026 ATP Examination Series recorded significant participation from candidates across the country.

Key examination statistics include:

  • 2,048 candidates registered for the April 2026 ATP Examinations.
  • 48 candidates deferred their examinations within the prescribed timelines.
  • 2,000 candidates sat for the examinations.
  • Examinations were conducted across three examination centres in Nairobi County.

The participation levels demonstrate the continued importance of the Advocates Training Programme in preparing future advocates for legal practice in Kenya.

How to Access Your ATP Examination Results

Candidates can access their results through the Candidate Portal by following the steps below:

Step 1: Log in to the Candidate Portal

Access the Candidate Portal using your registered credentials.

Step 2: Enter Your Candidate Number

Input your Candidate Number as issued by the Council.

Step 3: Enter Your Password

Enter your password to access your account.

Step 4: Navigate to the Examination Tab

Select the Examination tab on the portal dashboard.

Step 5: Select Your Preferred Results View

Candidates may choose to view:

  • Provisional Transcript
  • Results Slip
  • Performance per Question

The Candidate Portal provides detailed information on examination performance, including marks awarded for each paper and question attempted.
