Homicide investigators in the past indicated they had gone over reams of evidence in search of a motive, but said they have no comment now who committed the crime and why.

Waira said that he believes the assailant is someone that the family knew. He says his opinion is shared by many in the Kenyan community.

Kuria, a widow, moved from Kenya in 2001. Some family members previously told us she came to metro Atlanta so her daughters could escape the horror of female circumcision, which she endured. Her cousin believes the killer is still nearby.

โ€œHow can he live with himself knowing that he did that to three people and almost killed two boys and heโ€™s still around,โ€ said Waira.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
