Nairobi, Kenya:ย A handful of rioting youth barricaded sections of Nairobiโs Ngong Road near Dagoretti Corner chanting anti-Raila Odinga slogans as police fired gunshots and lobbed tear gas canisters to disperse them.
Their emergency seemed to be choreographed as it happened soon after interior minister Joseph ole Lenku finished issuing a statement in which he seemed to blame Raila and CORD for the Mpeketoni attacks in which more than 50 people died, dozens were injured and property destroyed.
The group of youths said they did not want Raila to pass there.
Police dispersed them long after a huge traffic jam had built up at about 3 pm.
