Ruto wants case stopped, fresh investigations after ICC witness admits to lying
Deputy President William Ruto wants his case at the International Criminal Court stayed and fresh investigations conducted after a witness admitted that he has been lying in his statements against the DP and his co-accused, journalist Joshua Sang.
The 29th witness who started his testimony on Monday, said he told the prosecution in 2013 that his evidence and that of all other witnesses was fabricated. Judges demanded to know what action the prosecution had taken after receiving the information from the witness. Presiding judge Eboe Osuji demanded to know why the prosecution presented a witness that its office had branded unreliable.
