New Ford-Kenya seeks to dissolve and join Jubilee-“Political tsunami”
New Ford-Kenya, a party founded in the months before the 2007 general elections, has decided to dissolve.
Party leader Ken Lusaka announced that members would join the Jubilee Party.
The announcement came after the party’s National Executive Committee meeting Monday.
The move came a day after rebel Orange Democratic Movement legislators Ababu Namwamba and John Waluke held talks with Mr Lusaka, who is also the Bungoma governor.
After the meeting, the leaders announced that a “political tsunami” was likely to take shape in the predominantly opposition region.
