The leaders and health experts will focus on building partnerships, seek innovative ways to finance health and how to use technology in fighting the diseases.

Kenya is expected to showcase its results on treatment of the three ailments that are offered for free in public health facilities.

During the health summit at State House, CS Mailu said the government sets aside Sh26 billion annually to finance treatment and management of the diseases.

He added that 950,000 adults are on Anti-Retroviral medication.

Kenya successfully applied for funding supportโ€”over Sh34billionโ€” from the Global Fund to support HIV, TB and Malaria on January 29. The funding will run for two years.

HIV/AIDS claims over 57, 000 lives in Kenya annually with nearly 100, 000 new infections.

At least 21,900 people die of TB every year (about 60 people daily) and malaria claims about 4, 000 people, mostly in children under five years and expectant mothers.
