Bomet County governor Isaac Ruto also wants to eat meat just like President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking at the 10th Anniversary of Tumoi Day Secondary School in Chepalungu, Bomet on Thursday, September 22, Ruto hit out at President Uhuru’s recent sentiments during the burial of William Ole Ntimama, in which Uhuru mocked Raila saying the opposition will continue salivating while Jubilee eats the meat.
“Tunaskia wanakula huko. Tunaskia wako na nyama. Sisi ata hatuna mboga..hatuna ata ugali,” Ruto said.
Loosely translated to, “We hear they are eating (in government). We hear they have meat, yet we don’t even have vegetables or ugali.”
Ruto further claimed that they only eat meat once a year during Christmas.
“Tulishangaa..Kumbe kuna watu wanakula nyama kutoka asubuhi mpaka jioni. Sisi hapa mashinani tunakula nyama safari moja December, tarehe 25,” added Ruto.
Loosely translated to, “We were shocked to learn that there are people who eat meat from morning till evening yet we only eat meat once, here in the grassroots.”
