Recently wed President’s son Jomo yesterday paid Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua a courtesy call.
The two later launched the 2016 Machakosfest, a short film festival at the Machakos People’s Park. This will be the second edition of the festival that seeks to provide a platform for new talents in the film industry to showcase their work and interact with experienced film makers and related professionals in the industry.
Jomo has been in the news lately after he married his longtime girlfriend in a traditional Kikuyu wedding.
The first born son of the president is seen in some quarters as the natural ‘heir to the throne’. Jomo, unlike his younger brother who makes headlines often for mostly the wrong reasons, lives a very private life.
But perhaps we will start seeing more of him as the mantle for the Kenyatta family changes hands.
Here are photos of him and Mutua in Machakos.
