Daniel Amapanga was born on April 25, 1952, in Bustosto Sub-location, Kakamega County, Kenya, to the late Boaz Luta Amapanga and the late Gladys Nechesa Amapanga.
Raised in a large, loving family, Daniel learned the values that would define his entire life—hard work, humility, perseverance, compassion, honesty, and unwavering faith in God.
Growing up in rural western Kenya during a transformative period in the country’s history, Daniel embraced every opportunity to improve his life while remaining deeply rooted in his family and community.
Seeking greater opportunities, he relocated to Nairobi in the late 1970s, determined to build a brighter future despite numerous challenges.

He was first married to Berita Naliaka Muyale, and together they were blessed with four children:

He is survived by his devoted wife, Hilda Amapanga, who faithfully stood beside him from the late 1980s until his final breath.
