Kibra parliamentary aspirant Eliud Owalo on Saturday asked Cord leader Raila Odinga to choose between Kibra parliamentary seat and the presidency.
“Raila should choose between reclaiming the Kibra Parliamentary Seat through his daughter Rosemary and the Presidency,” Owalo said in a statement.
“He will not get both seats at the same time.”
Rosemary officially launched her bid for Kibra parliamentary seat at the Kamukunji grounds on Saturday.
But Owalo termed the Launch as “Juvenile misplaced excitement and unparalleled Sycophancy”.
“The Sycophancy exhibited in Kibra Constituency may as well turn out to be Raila’s Waterloo in his quest for the Presidency,” he said.
The opposition leader has said he will vie for presidency in 2017 despite being “denied victory” in the last two elections.
Raila said he will run for the top seat in future elections as long as ODM declares him its candidate.
Owalo who was Raila’s former aide has been on a war path with the family of the ODM leader, which he has accused of planning to rig him out of a parliamentary race.
He warned that ODM stands to lose moral authority for advocating for credible and impartial polls with the IEBC if it does not manage its own internal primaries.
