Raphael Tuju has hit out at NASA saying its leaders should not subject Kenya to “unnecessary drama” by claiming the election was fraudulent.

The National Super Alliance has rejected the results of Tuesday’s general election saying they don’t represent the will of Kenyans.

Presidential candidate Raila Odinga said they are concerned the outcome is not in line with the law.

He and Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka faced President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto. This was the Opposition leader’s fourth attempt to rule Kenya, which Uhuru wants to do for five more years.

But Tuju said: “You cannot claim the results are fake…you have to accept them however they come.”

In a press conference on Wednesday, the Jubilee secretary general noted no one should get in the way as Kenya has decided.

“Only one campaign could emerge victorious. We appeal to NASA to stop calling results fraudulent. They can only be fraudulent with the manipulation of Form 34A.”

Raila noted the documents are supposed to accompany results and that this has not been the case.

He said: “We, therefore, reject all the results released so far…and demand that the IEBC reveals all the results as streamed through Forms 34.”

IEBC sent an email to the campaign teams giving them access to the portal with the Form 34As at around 3.30am on Wednesday.

But the Jubilee boss said the electoral agency made it possible for their technical team to access the document that Raila said was missing during tallying.

He added the ruling coalition’s team will “validate the forms meticulously”.

Tuju hailed Jubilee for performing “extremely well” in new areas and urged Kenyans to observe peace.

“We are very delighted that very many Kenyans have decided to move to the side of President Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.

“We would like to appeal for calm as it has been a very tough campaign and both sides invested a lot.”

The secretary general added they are looking forward to the end of the process and want to embrace NASA and all Kenyans.

As at 10.30am, Uhuru had 7,656,951 votes (54.49 per cent) and Raila 6,274,821(44.65 per cent). These were figures from 37,699 of the 40,883 polling stations.

Joe Nyaga had 34,860 votes (0.25 per cent), Abduba Dida 31,067 (0.21 per cent), Ekuru Aukot 24,926 (0.18 per cent), Japheth Kavinga 10,679(0.08 per cent), Cyrus Jirongo 10383 (0.07 per cent) and Michael Wainaina 8,194 (0.06 per cent).
