Elsewhere, Indian police on Monday stated that they will ask a court to charge a Catholic bishop with raping a nun in the southern state of Kerala.

Bishop Franco Mulakkal of Jalandhar Diocese has been accused of confining a 42-year-old nun to a convent in Kottayam, Kerala, and raping her multiple times between 2014 and 2016.

The bishop has denied the accusation.
