The Kenyan diaspora community in the United States is mourning the sudden passing of Job Gichuru, a respected member of PCEA Neema Church in Lowell, Massachusetts (District 4). His unexpected death has left family, friends, and the wider Kenyan community in deep sorrow.

Job Gichuru was widely known for his commitment to family, faith, and community fellowship within the Kenyan diaspora in Massachusetts.

Family and Loved Ones

Job was the devoted husband of Anne Kimani and a loving father to Tracy Gichuru, Travis Gichuru, and Eric Gichuru. He was the cherished son of Jedidah Gichuru and the late John Gakuru.

He is also survived by his siblings Timothy Gichuru, Rhodah Gichuru, and Peter Gichuru, and was preceded in death by his brother Mureithi Gichuru. He was a beloved cousin to Patrick.

Within the extended family, Job was a brother-in-law to Maggie Kimani, Triza Kimani, and Michael Kuria.

His passing has created a profound void not only in his immediate family but also among friends, church members, and the broader Kenyan diaspora community in Lowell and across Massachusetts.

Community Prayers and Support

In honor of Job Gichuru’s life and legacy, the family and community have organized daily fellowship and prayer meetings to support one another during this difficult time.

The prayer gatherings will be held as follows:

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Macakaya Prayers
8:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Committee Meeting

Meetings will take place both in person and via Zoom.
