Bryium Onyancha’s journey from Nyamira County, Kenya, to the United States is a story of early ambition, intentional research, and resilience. A graduate of Dedan Kimathi University with a degree in Computer Science, he is now set to pursue a Master’s in Computer Science at William Jessup University in California.
His dream of studying abroad began in his second year of undergraduate studies. Eager to explore global opportunities, Bryium conducted extensive research after being introduced to a structured education pathway that could guide him through applications, financing, and visa preparation. Convinced by its credibility and organization, he officially joined in August 2025 and began the process.
From university applications to loan processing and mock interview preparation, Bryium describes the experience as smooth and well guided. With steady encouragement from his family and close friends, he remained focused despite the patience and emotional strength the journey required.
His visa interview proved brief but intense. After watching several applicants before him face denial, he stepped forward composed and confident. He clearly explained why he chose William Jessup University, emphasizing his interest in studying under a specific professor and leveraging the school’s proximity to Silicon Valley to deepen his expertise in machine learning and expand his professional network. Shortly after, he received his visa approval.
As he prepares for his first international flight, Bryium carries a mix of excitement and bittersweet emotion. Above all, he departs with gratitude, determination, and a clear vision for the future.
