Bishop Boniface Adoyo,Bishop Emeritus of CITAM Ministries has plunged into politics and is vying for Nairobi Senate seat ready to battle with Mike Sonko among other candidates.In his vision statement and manifesto,Adoyo describes himself as:

- Adoyo’s rich academic credentials: His studies from University of Nairobi to The London School of Economics will greatly aid in Leadership of the county – towards a growing and self-sustaining economy
- Adoyo is a family man with deep respect for family values; he is married to Adah and together they have been a blessing to many families; counseling hurting marriages and supporting struggling families.
- Adoyo is a GOD-fearing and law-abiding citizen who believes in respect for the law and all enduring principles that make a Nation prosperous. Although a Christian of no compromise, he respectfully and lovingly listens to and interacts with people who believe differently from him.
- Adoyo has spent over forty (40) years in Nairobi and fully understands where the people of the county have been and where they need to go regarding development and empowerment.
- Adoyo is young enough to listen to the youth and old enough to carry the concerns of the elderly. He is loved by both young and old. He has been a mentor, a role model and inspiration to many youths and elderly of our day and time.
- Adoyo is bold, strong and courageous. He has been vocal in matters relating to the welfare of Kenyans fearlessly taking on political giants and debating scholars.
Key among Adoyo’s agenda, are fighting poverty, food and clean drinking water for all, affordable and accessible medical care, effective waste management and sanitation, tackling the rampant insecurity, dealing with unemployment, housing, roads and other infrastructure, reliable electricity, youth and women empowerment, a growing and self-sustaining economy. Adoyo plans to achieve this by working hand in hand with the elected Governor and pushing for proper allocation of county resources from the National Cake. He strongly believes in “Siasa Njema, Maisha Mema!”
