Presidential aspirants are expected to present their nomination certificates to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission in the next two days.
But before that, the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy, CORD has launched its 2013 manifesto. The coalition promises to address issues affecting Kenyans from security to land injustices once it ascends to power. NTV’s Enock Sikolia reports.

Azimio la Ugatuzi: Focuses on increasing resources allocated to devolved units and implementing a “One County, One Product” initiative to boost local economies.​

- Azimio la Kina Mama: Seeks to empower women by improving access to financing, land, and ensuring proportional representation in government. ​Azimio la Ukulima: Aims to enhance agriculture through climate-smart practices, agro-processing, and development of the blue economy.​
- Azimio la Ujenzi: Plans to improve infrastructure, including roads, housing, and energy, to support economic activities and improve living standards.​
- Azimio la Elimu: Commits to providing free and quality ed ucation from early childhood to university level, ensuring no child is left behind.​
- Azimio la Afya: Proposes universal health coverage to ensure all Kenyans have access to affordable healthcare services.​
- Azimio la Maji: Focuses on providing clean and accessible water to all households, addressing shortages and high costs.​
- Azimio la Usalama: Aims to enhance national security through improved police services and community engagement.​
- Azimio la Uongozi Bora: Commits to fighting corruption, promoting transparency, and ensuring accountability in government operations.​
Odinga emphasized that this manifesto is a contract with the Kenyan people, promising to implement these policies within his first 100 days in office.
The coalition also introduced initiatives like “Baba Care” for universal health coverage, “Kazi Kwa Wote” for job creation, and “Inua Jamii” for empowering vulnerable groups.
The manifesto has been lauded for addressing the aspirations of Kenyans and providing a clear roadmap for the nation’s development.
