In a demonstration that she is truly a president of the people and for all people, President Joyce Banda of Malawi visits a village and seat down with the commoners to get to their level.
This is what she says in her face book page:”Listening to my people . When I say we must work together in this country I practically mean there must be nothing about us without us! Together we can do better!”
Former President Joyce Banda of Malawi has consistently demonstrated her commitment to engaging with local communities through direct interaction. While specific recent instances of her sitting down with villagers are not readily available, her past actions reflect this approach.
For instance, during her presidency, Banda emphasized the importance of visiting various parts of the country to understand the needs of the people. She stated, “Through travelling in all parts of the country, I can appreciate people’s plight and get to know their needs”.
Additionally, her foundation, the Joyce Banda Foundation, has been actively involved in rural development, providing education, healthcare, and agricultural assistance to underserved communities .
These actions underscore her dedication to connecting with and supporting the common people of Malawi.
