Today President Uhuru Kenyatta was joined by Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni and Rwanda President Paul Kagame during the official commissioning of the K.P.A Berth No 19.

This facility reflects the expanded capacity at the Port of Mombasa and will enable berthing of large container ships. It is the single largest berth capacity expansion undertaken in 35 years.

Presidents Uhuru, Museveni and Kagame Commission New Berth in Mombasa Port.

Three East Africa presidents, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and Paul Kagame of Rwanda yesterday commissioned K.P.A Berth No 19.

The new berth will increase the port’s capacity by 200,000 from the current 250,000 20-foot containers a year to 450,000 a year. The new berth cost Sh6 billion.

East Africa: EA Leaders Commission Berth 19 At Mombasa Port

President Uhuru Kenyatta together with leaders from other East African Community member states today commissioned the new Mombasa Port Berth 19.

President Kenyatta was joined by Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and Salva Kiir of South Sudan in the commissioning of Kenya’s deepest port berth.
