The reigning Miss World Kenya, Wangui Gitonga today leaves for the 63rd edition of the Miss World finals 2013 which are set to be held on September 28 the Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul and Nusa Dua, Indonesia. On an interview with Monday Blues, she revealed that she was ready to fly the country’s flag,
“I am ready. I have been well groomed and I am sure to do Kenya proud,” she said.
“I am happy with the training I have been accorded by the Miss World Kenya team led by Terry Mungai. It is the best anyone could have,” she added.
Its not been all roses for Miss World Kenya, Wangui Gitonga since she was crowned. The beauty queen trended on social media after she was crowned and became another victim of cyber-bullying by Kenyans on social media who did not find her fit for the title, and that is just one of the challenges this beauty will have to go through because holding this title comes with its ups and downs. Aside from all the beauty and runways, she has to leave a mark like her predecessors have done. The beauty queen hosted a couple of charity events over the weekend before attending a send-off prayer service yesterday also attended by Miss World Kenya franchise holder Terry Mungai and her fashionista Reina Kimeu. We would love to wish the beauty all the best as she goes to represent Kenya for the coveted title.-niaje.com
