We announce the promotion to glory of Lydia Wamuyu Gatheru on February 1st, 2014 in Kenya, after a short illness. Lydia Gatheru hailed from Karatina Town, Nyeri County.

She was the wife of the late Habel Gatheru. She was sister to the late David Mararo Waigi, and Margaret Wanjugu, Gichau. She was mother to Nicholas John Waigi, the late Juliet Kibanya, Mary Gitau (Baltimore, USA), Anderson Ndang’a, Jane Muriuki, Grace Murigu, Rose Kibui (Baltimore USA). Mother-in-law to Agnes Waigi, the late Kibanya, the late Michie Gitau, Eva Gatheru, the late Muriuki, Richard Murigu, and Pastor Patrick Kibui (All Nations Gospel Outreach, Baltimore, USA).

She had 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 6pm at Pastor Patrick and Rose Kibui’s home at 38 Open Gate Court, Perry Hall, MD 21236.

Memorial Service will be at 6pm on Saturday February 8th, 2014 at 9600 Pulaski Park Drive, Middle River Suite 115, MD 21220.
