Inspiration:The truth shall set you free

“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in my word, then you are truly disciples of mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that you say, ‘You will become free ‘?”…” (John 8:31-33)

Jesus not only came to this world the first time to save us but also to teach us the truth as it was first taught. The religious leaders and their followers, however, refused to part away with the wrong theology. They chose the status quo.

But to the few that embraced the word of God, Jesus told them that the more they searched for the truth the more it will enlighten them and thus set them free.

I know that since childhood you have either read the Bible by yourself or been taught by others. It’s very possible that you are convinced beyond any human doubts that you have it in your heart and tip of your fingers.

Is it possible that what you have read or taught is nothing but error? There is need for all of us to study the Bible daily in great humility and plead with the Lord of the universe to open our inner ears so that we can embrace nothing but the pure truth. Once we do that, the truth will set us free.
