Kenya Government adopts Community PolicingPastor Amos Ngugi  of Acts of Compassion Ministries, the Coordinator of New Communities Policing Forum in Dublin Rep of Ireland was in Kenya last week.

During his visit in Kenya he  met with  David M Kimaiyo, the Inspector General of National Police Service in his office in Nairobi together with new Director of Community Policing Department  J.K. Adoli.

The Community Policing Forums scheme is  growing  well in Kenya. Pastor Amos was Thursday 15th of  May 2014  invited to attend The National Policy on Community Policing Draft Validation.

The Kenya Government has adopted Community Policing as philosophy for improving policing. Introducing the highly need requirement for innovation and better ways of Policing in Kenya may appear late comer among the region.

The approach has gained significant interest and shown potential for dealing with Crime. In Kiambu County, the Kikuyu Community Forum and  Lari Forum have done a lot to the communities.
