Nairobi Half Life Wins Best African Film at the African Film Development Awards 2014

2012 Kenyan drama film, Nairobi Half Life, scooped the award for the Best African Film at the African Film Development Awards 2014 in Tanzania.

The film, which was selected as the Kenyan entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, a first from Kenya, also won the director, David Tosh Gitonga, the Future of African Cinema Award at the latest edition of African Film Development Awards.

The African Film Development Awards was set up to recognize excellent individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves in their contribution to the growth and development of African Cinema cultures.
