NAIROBI, Kenya Dec 12 โ One of the 16 Kenyan women who have been stranded in Libya since November has died.
She is understood to have been ailing for some time, according to her colleagues.
The women have been trying to leave Libya through a neighbouring country since the airport in Tripoli is inaccessible.
The women had been working in various fields in Tripoli but left their jobs following renewed conflict there.
The Kenyan mission in Libya was closed in July following approval of the Cabinet which cited the continued political instability in the country since the ouster of Muammar Gaddafi, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is involved in their evacuation.
