It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of Mrs. Grace Nduku Mwele which occurred on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in a Colorado hospital after a short illness while visiting her son there.
Mother in-law to Catherine Ulanga, Carol Muia and Carol Makola.
Grandmother to Kezziah Nduku, Ashley Mbabu, Clive Mwele, Trevor Mburu, Sophia Nduku, Andrew Nzau, Andrew Mwele and Amy Nduku.Mrs Mwele, also fondly known as Mwalimu, was a former teacher at St Annes Primary School – Nairobi, Pumwani Primary School – Nairobi, Nairobi Milimani Secondary School, Upper Hill High School – Nairobi and former director of Talanta Preparatory School – Nairobi.
Music was her passion and she one of the founding members of Muungano National Choir, Kenya and Music Director of Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church Choir, Makadara – Nairobi.
While we are saddened by her passing and the big void she has left behind; we are also comforted with our memories of her. Rich and wonderful memories of the person she was – faith filled, loving, kind, generous and full of wisdom.
Following her demise, family and friends have been gathering at the following residences for daily fellowship and planning of Mrs. Mwele’s funeral arrangements & fundraiser.
