Sixteen Al-Shabaab suspects have been arrested in a mosque in Marsabit County.
Marsabit OCPD Mark Wanjala said the suspects are Muslim preachers and were arrested in Karare.

Police were tipped off by informants, who said they did not recognise the preachers. They are said to have arrived in the area three days ago.
The suspects, arrested at 5pm on Thursday, were said to be from Eastleigh in Nairobi, Marsabit, Sololo, Moyale and Isiolo.
The suspects will be handed over to the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit in Nairobi.
Police have intensified a crackdown on Al-Shabaab suspects countrywide since the April attack on Garissa University College that left 148 people dead.
