It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Moureen Wanjiku Gathua and her baby boy Kyan of Anaheim California. Moureen and baby Kyan were stabbed to death on Monday June 22nd 2015 by Moureen’s husband and the father of Kyan,Kwame Carpenter.
She was the daughter of Miriam Wangare David of Anaheim California and David Gathua Magua of Nairobi Kenya,sister to Irene Mugure Gathua (Kenya),Michael Magua Gathua (Anaheim California) and Jimmy Kariuki Gathua of Woodbridge Virginia.Sister in law of Wanjiku Kariuki of Woodbridge Virginia.
Moureen was niece to Isaac Kariuki of Diaspora Messenger USA,William Njoroge (Kenya),Catherine Nduta Franzke (Cologne Germany) and David Kamau Kariuki (Kenya).
She was cousin to Brahm Kariuki Gicheru,David Kirui Gicheru and Robert Ithongo Gicheru of Germantown Maryland,Kenny Kariuki Njoroge of Anaheim California,Joyce Wangare Njoroge of Silver Spring Maryland,Tracey Wanjiku Ithongo,Janet Wanjiku Njoroge,Judith Wairimu,Ronny Kariuki and Megan Wanjiku all of Kenya.
Memorial service will be on July 10th 2015 at First Presbyterian Church on 600 N Main St Santa Ana CA 92701 at 9.00 am,there after proceed to Santa Ana Cemetery on 1919 East Santa Clara Avenue, Santa Ana 92705 for the burial.
