After Crying in Public, Kenyans Remind Alfred Mutua of the Day He Said No one is Dying of Hunger

mutua_weepsKenyans are not about to give Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua a break. Recently during Obama’s visit, he was reminded of some nasty things he said about the then Illinois state senator, as the government spokesman. He responded by showing up at JKIA to see off Obama.

As the former government’s spin-doctor, Mutua was tasked with denying a lot of things. He is on record as having stated that nobody was dying of hunger at a time when various media reports said that was the case.

When images of Mutua weeping in public ‘over poverty in Ukambani’ splashed newspapers yesterday, some Kenyans on Twitter were keen to remind him of his old ways.
