Uhuru and Margaret Kenyatta head to Italy for Kenya Week
Uhuru and First Lady Margaret will leave for the official visit on Sunday afternoon, said State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu.
Esipisu said a mini-marathon and a cultural day are some of the activities expected in Milan during Kenya week.
He said the campaign developed by the Tourism ministry, that will be launched during the Milan Expo, will include the activation of a new digital content portal and supporting social media platforms.
“The portal and the platforms are designed to be the focus for all international tourism and investment enquiries,” he said in a statement to newsrooms.
“The introduction of the new brand, campaign and portal will bring all of the ministry’s existing and future campaigns together to tell Kenya’s story with one shared voice.”
Uhuru will also hold bilateral talks in Rome with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, who visited Kenya in July.
He will further hold a business forum to offer Italian and Kenyan communities a chance to explore opportunities for joint trade and investment ventures.
The expo is a primary tourism-promotion event which Tourism CS Phyllis Kandie will also attend.
