As it turns out, John Paul II’s 1980 visit was not the only. Five years later, he came back to the country was received by then President Daniel Arap Moi.
His third and final visit to Kenya came in 1995 and it was his last stop in Africa after visiting Cameroon and South Africa. It attracted the largest crowd.
In his speech, John Paul II spoke Swahili.
