Former First Lady Lucy Kibaki, 76, is still in hospital, more than a week after she was admitted at the Nairobi Hospital.
Although details are scarce, some say her health has โdrastically improvedโ, with doctors preferring that she remains under close observation for more days at the hospital.
Lucy was rushed to hospital on March 11 and was admitted at the ICU.
She was later transfered to a room in a private wing.
She was said to have difficuly breathing.
Her daughter Judy Kibaki yesterday told the Star her motherโs condition is โstableโ. โShe is very well. She continues to receive goodwill messages from Kenyans,โ she said.
It is not yet known what the former first lady is being treated for.
Last week, family spokesperson Ngare Gituku said her condition is โage-relatedโ and what is medically referred to as atrophy – partial or complete wasting away of a part of the body, due to cell degeneration.
