A picture of the talks between visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday at Kasarani stadium, has raised eyebrows.
The picture, posted on Facebook by State House media team, captured a cheap, plastic kettle perched atop a stool between the chairs of the two leaders.
The kettle has caught the attention of Kenyan netizens, with someย wondering why there was a kettle with no accompanying mug.
Others questioned why the water was not heated earlier and kept in a thermos for PM Modi.
Others guessed that it was probably a safety precaution to have the Indian Premierโs water heated in his presence.
John Njiriri Muchai commented on the photo: โI can see a water heater and flask but no cup or glass for the guestโฆ Interesting but Karibu Kenya Sir!โ
For others it was a show of humility.
Morley Fowler commented: โUhuru heating some water for Modi? โฆ.very simple.โ
Others noted there was just one glass on the stool.
Moses Mwangi commented: โ So this guy really donโt use a glass or what?โ
The Indian Prime Minister jetted into the country from Tanzania on Sunday and headed to Kasarani Stadium where he addressed a gathering of Indians living in Kenya.
He is making his maiden trip to Nairobi, the first in 35 years by a sitting Indian PM.
