NASA co-principal Moses Wetangula has dared ODM leaderย Raila Odingaย to a race to the State House in the upcoming 2022 General Election threatening to expose him.
Wetangula was responding to Odinga who remarked that the merger between Ford Kenya and Mudavadiโs ANC was an alliance based on tribal lines.
He indicated that as predicted that the โdivorceโ between Raila and the NASA co-principals would be noisy and messy, he would spill the beans about it.
โIf Raila continues telling lies about us we will tell Kenyans the truth about him,โ Wetangula warned.
The Bungoma Senator described the merger as a platform where the masses can articulate their issues and vouch for the national agenda.
Raila had on Sunday criticized the politicians who were forming political alignments based on their ethnic backgrounds, calling for unity in some regions only.
โFor Raila, it is never tribal when Luo Nyanza stands behind him but when other communities support their leaders it is tribal,โ Wetangula told theย Nation.
Hinting about a merger with Kalonzoโs Wiper party, the lawmaker noted that the leaders who Raila described as tribalists had supported him for more than 10 years.
Commenting on Railaโs remarks, ANC Secretary General Barrack Muluka mentioned that he should stop assuming that he owns western Kenya.
Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader Boni Khalalwe, on his part, noted that Railaโs remark confirms that his name will be on the 2022 ballot paper.
โHe has been a beneficiary of the Luhya disunity for too long, he should know we have moved out of his shadow and should forget the Luhya vote,โ Khalalwe stated.
