President Uhuru Kenyatta has invited Anglo Leasing whistle blower John Githongo, Siaya Senator James Orengo and Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba to a State House summit.

Uhuru sent them a formal invitation to the Governance and Accountability Summit set for next Tuesday, through Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.

“Please come prepared to effectively contribute in the interactive sessions that are integral part of the summit,” read the letter.

Githongo, who is Inuka Trust CEO, shot to the limelight in 2004 when he exposed massive corruption involving government ministers in former President Mwai Kibaki’s administration.

The Anglo Leasing scam involved contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars allegedly awarded to fictitious firms for items such as hi-tech passports.

Guest will have breakfast at 6.15am for before the summit commences at 7am.

Among those who will attend the summit are National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale and Senate Majority leader Kindiki Kithure.

Others are Senators Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu), Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet) and Bonny Khalwale (Kakamega), and Taita Taveta MP Naomi Shaban.
