It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Wakaria, which occurred on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in Waldorf, MD, USA. He rested after a long batle with cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Juliet Wakaria, and children, Ji Yung, Ji-Mi, Samouhan, Sharon; and Kareithi. Joe was a man deeply cherished by his family, and highly appreciated by friends who knew him as a peacemaker, a selfless community leader in the Washington, DC area, and a truly caring human being.
