Orengo’s team should be disbanded – Wiper Vice Chairman

The rumor mill surrounding the stability of the National Super Alliance (NASA) has been running all week, with Wiper party caught in the middle -While NASA are yet to make public their flagbearer, a Wiper leader has hit out at the team designated to make things easier -According to him, only the co-principals can solve the flag-bearer question Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has hit out strongly at a committee led by Siaya Senator James Orengo.

Kilonzo, who is affiliated to the Wiper Party, faulted the committee in choosing specially designated with aiding in the selection of the NASA flagbearer, saying that they should be disbanded immediately. According to the Senator, the flagbearer question should be left to the four main contenders – Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.

“Mr. Nyenze made the remarks at a time when the party’s national executive council was having a meeting and as a party, we cannot issue such a statement and could not do it through him,” He said during the interview. TUKO.co.ke highlighted Nyenze’s remarks and the effects it had on NASA supporters, and Raila Odinga was quick to refute any claims of discord within the alliance. The 12-man technical committee tasked with selecting the NASA presidential flagbearer through careful analysis on who was best placed to face off with President Uhuru in the August 8 General Election.
