NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has said he would rather be a Chief Minister in a Government that is dedicated to lowering the high unemployment rate in Kenya, growing the country’s economy, taming inflation, and improving the lives of Kenyans than lead ANC to the polls alone. He said the lessons of 2013 are very clear to him and to all Kenyans. “It is interesting to hear the same people who by their own admission, sneaked into my compound in 2012, hid in a Lorry for eight hours before stealing the coalition agreements I had signed with President Uhuru Kenyatta, and later called me madimoni,” he added. In a statement, Mudavadi condemned those telling him he must be the flag bearer and not allow himself to be betrayed by Raila Odinga.

Our commitment to the Kenyan people is solid and our resolve to emancipate our people is stronger than ever before,” he said. Mudavadi said NASA’s aim is to make Kenya work for the million citizens struggling with unemployment, high food prices, high inflation, low wages and high taxes under the Jubilee administration. “We will have a presidential candidate in due time, but most importantly, we have a team focused in securing a prosperous future for Kenyans and any of us is qualified to lead the team, “ he said.
